The Philippines become more communistic everyday. They answer to all other countries because they want those donations from the other nations. The Filipino politicians steal everything they get and barely nothing gets back to the people. Pretty much like other countries, but worse. The Philippines is actually a very very rich nation with many super wealthy people along with the poor. Cheers!

When this video title of yours appeared on my UA-cam home screen I opened it promptly to see if any of the pieces to the ferry schedule puzzle had changed. Note: I have done the Ormoc run multiple times, I used the Lite ferry until on the third attempt I discovered that the Lite ferry was not doing the Ormoc run so then I went through the process of finding the Roble office and booking the night departure on that slow ferry line and rather enjoyed the overnight run after hanging around Cebu City for an extra six hours. I have since given up on attempting ferry travel anywhere. It became readily apparent (while watching the video) that nothing had changed: -The hawkers abound praying on people that are not sure what the heck is going on or what the heck to do or how the heck to avoid some lengthy miserable period of time standing around in a line that may or may not be the correct line for the type of booking you may be interested in making -The randomness of where the various legitimate ticket offices are, how to learn where they are and then actually getting to them and what the process is going to entail once you may actually find them and go through the door. -The time it takes (after arriving in a port area) to figure out the routes, schedules, types of accommodations and true costs all the while the hawkers are hitting on you for your luggage, your ID, a ride to some other obscure location with all assurances that they will take care of you. -The variances in the process(s) from one port to the next, like the Forest Gump box of chocolates....you never know what you are going to get until you get there. And it all boils down to the same main piece of advice from anybody who knows anything about trying to travel inter island in the Philippines by any means of ticketed travel....BE SURE TO ALLOW FOR PLENTY OF TIME TO SIFT THROUGH ALL THE RANDOMNESS AND VARYING LEVELS OF SERVICE. The DOT (tourism) chief (just this past week) unveiled the National Tourism Development Plan 2023-2028 which is essentially a clear indication of the interest the government has in bolstering income from tourism amid declining tourism numbers in the Philippines (while other ASEAN countries are doing pretty good). The main thrust was to make clear that restrictions would be eased to facilitate the development of more hotel rooms at various targeted tourist destinations in the Philippines. The simple reality is that it won't make any difference how many more hotel room towers are built with the current challenges that exist in getting from point A to point B in the Philippines. It's difficult enough intra-island, it is exponentially more difficult interisland and if it starts to rain...all bets are off. And this is just within the realm of transportation challenges. There are a myriad of other concerns related to health, safety and general services to non local travelers. There is the bamboo grapevine here in the Philippines, it is amazing how quickly information can travel among the locals. Word also has a way of moving quickly globally pertaining to certain things and tourism is one of them. The tourism industry is highly developed. When people are planning international vacations they learn very quickly where the desirable and undesirable locations are. The average tourist is not going to tolerate what you showed in this video. I won't mention the reasons why these various challenges persist in the Philippines and I know why you don't mention any of it either. It's a shame, it is certainly NOT a progressive environment.

Not to mention I have a water view with Olango and Bohol in the distance. No way I'm paying 35k plus utilities to look at other buildings and a swimming pool that would be uncomfortable to be in with 10 strangers in it at the same time. This condo building is a lost cause. Just my opinion.

Thanks for sharing and good question kano. There is a discussion of whether the Cebu City metro is over building. Thailand did it years ago and thus the vacancies and lower prices there. Prices have risen quite rapidly in the big cities of PH over the last 10 years so the question is how much more can they go up and still sell. I do not know the answer. If you are going to live in it and be happy that is one thing, as an investment, that is another issue of whether you will get a decent ROI.
